No, I didn’t purpose this post’s title to be mysterious or metaphorical. I’m simply following a recent writing challenge: describe in one paragraph the tiniest thing near you. I’m undoubtedly glad it was my heart.
Gifted to me within a year ago, this gleamy object of affection reflects nearly all its world through a polished silver skin. At about one square inch, my delightful heart has a very intentional, specific engraving on its front side. It reads: L-O-V-E. If you haven’t hitherto ascertained, this hunk of soothing metal affinity is not the literal core of my physical being, but it’s an intense symbol of the thoughtful, charitable love my bride endows to me daily. Oh, how grateful I am for Jenn, my sweetness, my life, the half of me I’ve sworn to protect, love and engage with. She’s exceptional. My baby.
