Poem on Past Beliefs

Beliefs Change and Men Live Again

When a pupil not understanding life’s difficulties

believes men can and should lord over their wives,

it is because his father fought over redundancies:

a messy home, loud, silly children or uncooked chives.

Such boys grow into the most horrid beasts,

repeating the same sins as their fathers.

Unless a Great Man paves a new way of for these leasts,

wives have no reason to hope for men whose love endures.

With the Great Man having shined his true masculine light,

boys with fathers like these need not remain stubborn,

for one’s beliefs stir and spur his actions of fright,

and Jesus, for the betterment of women, makes men like me reborn.
